Claude Shirts was born and raised in California and completed his interpreter training here in the Sacramento area. Claude received his National Certification in 1987 after moving to New York City in 1985. After a 17 year stay, Claude has returned to California where he currently works full time as a free-lance interpreter. While in New York City he interpreted in a variety of settings, but specialized in theatrical interpreting. His theatrical interpreting to date has been from spoken dialogue to ASL, so he is looking forward to the challenge of interpreting in the opposite direction ! Interpreting to voice for "Whose Sign is It Anyway?" will be a particular challenge as there is no set script to rehearse from !
