So, what in the world is an ICEWORM anyway?
It's a non-profit theatre services organization featuring some crazy and funny
ASL performers!*

We host performances of different theatre events, varying from children's theatre
to comedy sketch shows to our trademark improv show, "Whose Sign Is It Anyway?"
Ongoing Goal- to provide deaf persons, hard-of-hearing
persons, their family, their friends, American Sign Language (ASL) students, ASL users, and any other person, entertainment
through physical comedy and a combination of pantomime, spoken English and ASL.
Long Term- To create an umbrella program that will
encourage and increase access to the theatre arts. The program will include: Workshops, theatre interpreting, new shows and
multiple troupes, training, a project that will start and run a summer camp for deaf and hard of hearing children and their
siblings, with a focus on the theater arts.
*THE LEGALESE:
This 501(c)(3) corporation is a nonprofit public
benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit
Corporation Law for charitable purposes. The specific purposes for which this corporation is organized are to encourage awareness
and education of deaf culture, to provide greater accessibility to the theatrical arts to and for the deaf, hard-of-hearing,
coda/koda, and the sign language community, to promote the education and training of the deaf, hard-of-hearing, coda/koda,
and the sign language community members of and in the theater arts, and to provide a venue for all the above purposes.
